Resident evil code veronica is the first "series" resident evil out after 3. It is unkown why this wasn't resident evil 4, but I guess the makers just chose not to. Most people don't have the original code veronica, but code veronica x. It is the same game, only with more cutsceens. RE:CVX was the only to come out for ps2 and gamecube, but RE:CV came out for dreamcast, only fans who would get an RE game upon its release would have it, and in turn suffered for the loss of some series information.

After Claire and Leon escaped Raccoon city, Claire continued her search for her brother Chris. Claire gets capture while in an umbrella lab looking for Chris. She is taken to and island prison that turns out to have been leaked with the T-virus. Zombies are everywhere and Claire meets up with fellow x-prison mate Steve Burnside.
